www.paralink.com is an online translation site that has been upgraded recently. now, you must register with the site, but that is very easy to do. the best upgrade is it's now possible to write an email in english, have it translated into a language (russian for example) , see the back translation, AND THEN SEND THE EMAIL DIRECTLY FROM THE SITE.

the last part is great, because previously i was cutting and pasting from paralink to my email and then sending.

keep in mind that you are limited to the number of characters you can send at any one time, but there is now also a feature that records how many characters you have left. if you have a long email to send you can just send it in pieces. you can also have a copy sent to your registered email address.

the back translation part is great because you can see how it was translated and decide if your sentence came across correctly in the translation.

your ideas can be complex. just try to keep the sentences simple.

translate.google.com is pretty good also.

I usually open two windows, one for English --> Russian; and one from Russian-->English.

There is no character limit as paralink.com has.

Google is still in beta but it is getting better all the time. I do find it really helps to use proper grammar and punctuation marks.

That's a good question...I was looking for a site to do that but had no luck.
Fortunately weather translated for me.

If there's a translator out there, I'm sure one of us will find it.

I did find an English to Ukrainian translator, web page is in Ukrainian. I posted a link on RMP before, but I will try and dig up the link again, when I get home.

I hate to be a mud puddle, but I used this site especially to try and rework Ukrainian.
Tried to translate a very famous Ukraine poem...
The result was only slightly better than I got from a Russian translator site, still with many words failing to translate and only transliterated.
Of course, maybe was just failure of a 'durak'... I can never discount that possibility!

Didn't say it was a great site, but it is a possibility.

Poetry is almost impossible to translate. Try translating a French poem in to English and see what kind of jumbled mess you get.

I think the site will do an ok job on translating simple phrases, or words.

I don't disagree, the nuance will always be lost in translation.

Just that this failed on many words and phrases.
Of course, you get what you pay for, right?!

How's it going ET? What's new in your search for other half?
