This may be my strangest post yet. Last week in Lvov, Ukraine (Lviv) there was a staged Nazi party rally. These pics were taken in downtown Lvov at their central square.

That's oddly funny.

I love how they drape things in field camoflage and have a motorcycle with minimum exposure lamp, even though this is a free rally.
I guess the threat of sniper fire or aerial bombardment continues to be a looming threat!
It's about as serious as a Star Trek convention... everyone wants great costumes and set design but there's no real substance behind it all.

well...here we have communists ruling the country...not the Blair type, i mean real communists who in the 1970s wanted to join the Warsaw pact and threw bombs to start the revolution.

Very many parties or ideologists or statesmen belong in hell.
The bombing of Dresden orchestrated by Churchill as a "demonstration" or the atomic bombs on Japan were not "chocolate frosted bombs".
The only difference is how much you hear about it (or not ) from some carefully selected people.

Anyways it looks like a movie set or a reharsal to me.

I can just see all the SS troops rolling on the ground!!! It is surrealistic!! Germany may never have invaded anyone IF ONLY there had been cell phones!! They could never have gotten anything done! Hey, Franz, do you want to invade poland or play golf on my phone.

And yes, just about everything that the nazis did in WWII is just reprehensible! If it weren't history--would we believe it?

But it is a fact Hitler loved folk dances & attires. In a passage he declares real men shall go around in traditional bavarian shorts & costume in the coldest winter.
