Anyone notice the 1st-international women's last login times? I asked John (the site owner)... he said that it is nothing to worry about if the woman has not logged in recently, or at all, since the women will be notified at home. This is from a live conversation I had with him maybe 4-5 months ago.

People have been recommending this site quite often here and elsewhere. Back then I sent out maybe 7-8 letters, none had I gotten a response from.
What has other people's experience been? It would be helpful to hear about it.

Last year I spoke a number of times to the owner, because I had exactly the same problem, he told me they were aware of the problem and it was because their database was out of date but it was being updated shortly and that they would give me free credits.

They refunded what I paid 2 or 3 times when the same thing happened, but I never took up the option to take the free credits. In fact I still have the email offering them to me. Seems like the database is still way out of date to me.

This is an extract of an email they sent to me

That is partly why we are switching to the new system.

Here is briefly the description of the new system.

Both men and women join for free. Everyone has a profile on the site (not just women as it was under the old scheme). Everyone can contact everyone for free with a message or a virtual smile. Only if she is interested and responding you pay (as little as 50 cents) to open her letter. All messaging is done through our secure internal messaging system, so there is no issue with lost emails (a source of frustration for many).

Also, we check regularly if the members are logging in to read their mail. If a member is not regularly logging in, we deactivate his or her profile so that he or she does not waste everybody else's time.

Thanks for sharing.

I now remember I was talking to the owner right when they were changing to the new system, b/c he had to convert the old ID's I gave him to find the new ones. But I was talking to him about letter I had sent 3-4 months ago, and he said it was too far back to follow up on them, so it was pretty much left at that. I should've asked for some credits in return at least.

I think I'm going to try this site again and see how it goes.
