The admin even said that there were no slurs or bad remarks. Cheb did NOTHING WRONG! 2 of our oldest members have stopped posting and others including myself are ready to.

What is sad/interesting is that someone could have simply said, they couldn't be moslem because.......
and that would have ended it and enlightened us..
I don't care who was bowing (I don't know if they were praying by the way), it was a universally funny picture. Maybe we should go out and take pictures of us guys bowing down to VSC. It would be funny, and for many of us, true. When I saw the picture, part of me said, there but for the grace of God go I.

I agree.
The person who claimed offence at the caption ultimately wrote:

"Now use Alluion to imagine How much was offended to see the picture live"

So it wasn't really ever a question of words, but of the concept that others witness such behavior.
If the caption was the offence why was that not the only portion of the post deleted? The photo could have remained... according to the personality, that photo was not at issue.
Why, I think I might like to repost it, with no headline!

One of the things that bothers me is that this place is so worried about being "politically correct" that it's lost sight of who is right and who is wrong.
Cheb did nothing wrong. It was just a simple funny picture. It's called IRONIC!
I've sent an email to Khashyar thru his Dali Lama website trying ton get this ironed out but no answer yet. I also PM'd him but he hasn't been here for a month. Waiting123 is probably off for the Labor Day week-end so I'd guess that is why he hasn't replied to my pm.
I also PM'd Searcher. He has been on here but no reply.....

Both Cheb and Texas Proud have left because of this garbage.
Both of these gentlemen have contributed ALOT to this forum over the years. If this situation isn't corrected I think more will leave. My wife and I included.
Being politically correct and right isn't the same thing!

Please make this RIGHT!

I totally agree with you Mike, one new member who has absolutely no interest in anything Russian screams foul and he gets looked after and 2 long up standing members get overuled and are not even listened too. The decision to remove that picture was out of order IMO, it shows how far the wrong way PC has gone. The new guy should have been told, like it or lump it, you know where the door is.

This place needs a major overhaul, I don't visit anywhere near as much as I used to do and when I do, I don't post like I used too, the attraction is certainly waining.

I am not sure why we have to continue to bring up this issue. I am sorry that you did not like my call to remove the photo, but, it was what I did. I said several times through out that thread that I did not feel that cheb did anything wrong.

Some people value religion as a way of life, not just a sunday event. I have never had a problem with any of the pictures that cheb has posted no matter what they were, but the line had to be drawn some where and I chose here.... photos mocking muslim prayer. Does not matter if it was a staged or a real photo.

If you feel that you must leave because of one edit i did, then do what you need to do. I did not come down on anyone, ban anyone, or threaten anyone, I simply removed a photo that 2 people pm'd me as offensive.

So, like I said, this board is a public board and I do not edit very many posts or delete very many items, but in this cas I made a decision. The three of you threatening to leave are long time posters and have contributed a lot to our forum, we do not wish you to leave and we do not want you to leave.

But like I said, feel free to pick up all your toys and run home if you are going to let one edit of a picture make you do so.

This forum is about sharing your experiences and learning from one another. Why would you want to give up, just because of one incident.

I post mostly when my family is in russia, mainly because that when I have the time, but I've given up posting before , sometime last year , because I got fed up with a lot of people on here.

But I think that if you are following the road of an eastern wife/partner, then you cannot deny that this forum is a valuable resource and place to visit and catch up with whats going on, I certainlly do , and curiosity will draw people back after a while and they will still participate.

What I'm trying to say is , don't cut off your nose to spite your face, peoples experiences must be shared for those that are just starting out on this road.

So, Waiting, all I have to do is indicate that many of the jokes, posts, comments, etc, are offensive to me and you will remove them? I appreciate your willingness to accommodate my beliefs, as I had thought up to this point I would simply ignore those items that were genuinely offensive to me.

I remember when this board actually started, and joined shortly after. Don't post frequently, as I prefer not to. I am just disappointed that you would permit a poster of demeaning sex jokes, virgin bride hunting, and anti-western bias hold such a power over you.
