For those of you wanting to send a debit card to your fiancee, iKOBE.com is a very inexpensive $ transfer system. Just open the account online (very easy) for your fiancee and she will receive an ATM Plus card to use at any ATM. All you do is authorize an amount to be charged to your credit card and that will go to her account. Right now, iKOBE will ship (3-7 business days) the card to your girl FREE of charge.

I also paid $ to a translator using this system. She had an account and just gave me her account number and I charged $ to my credit card and the money is transferred to the account in seconds.

Yesterday I opened an account for my fiancee with an initial $50.00 There will be a $1.50 ATM charge and $48.50 will be available to her.

By the way, iKOBE emails you the PIN # and then you can either email your girl or tell her the PIN # on the phone.

Hey Brian,

Glad you were able to take advantage of the iKOBE. I read where many guys will open a checking account at a bank that offers free checking (or sometime a savings account) and get an ATM card for that account and then send the card to the GF. Sounds like too much hassle to me. The iKOBE is great - no charge to ship the card, you control how much money goes into the account, and it transfers in seconds. The great bonus is now they will ship the ATM card free which would normally cost about 20 bucks.

As far as anything else up my sleeve, not at the present moment but if I come up with one, I'll pass it along. BTW, how close are you to getting a visa for your GF? We got our first NOA early January. If all goes well, can have visa in hand by early spring and Angela nd her daughter can come in June when school gets out.
