Hi Waiting, Thanks for putting up this thread. I have not been around much recently so I had no idea it was here.

However, I want to take this opportunity to let everyone know what’s been happening over the past 10 weeks, since Victoria’s arrival. Especially having read Broncos recent posting, because there are some similarities!

I too find that, I’m in the difficult situation of reining back the expenditure, whilst at the same time watching the money fly out. We’ve managed to go through almost £4000 since the 6th August (just over 5 weeks) and there’s nothing much to show for it. When it comes to clothes and make-up, nothing will shake her belief that, if something is cheap, it’s no good. Ironically, when we go to the pound shop, we often spend £20-30, usually on a load of old tat.

I had the embarrassment of being handed a €600 moneygram from her sister, when I found myself short of money in the run up to the wedding. I know her sister doesn’t have a lot, so this amount must have eaten into her savings.

On the other hand, our personal relationship seems to be getting better and better and she’s full of plans for the future. She holds my hand, wherever we go and lots of small gestures she makes, maintains my belief that, she's genuinely into the relationship.

Ilya who is almost 5, started school last week. That’s gone very well and he enjoys it very much.

Fingers crossed, that I will have enough money for our trip to Omsk in mid October. Wont be much change out of a thousand quid, now that there’s three of us travelling!

I’ll post again soon.
