Ukrainians, what does it mean?

I came across this picture on a Russian web site and it made me laugh out loud. But then I realized that I have absolutely no idea what it means. I have never been to Ukraine.

So maybe we at RMP can come up with a travel slogan for Ukraine that will boost tourism.

UKRAINE: We're tastier than Kazakhstan!

UKRAINE: Eat all you want then run like hell!

UKRAINE: We are the country with no worms!

Hey Cheb, how about - Christians! - Don't buy an apple from this snake!

as was said to me by the agent who was not very helpful with a problem with my apartment when i said i was going to contact her office manager:

"NO ONE WILL CARE"

that should be the sign at the airport...."Welcome to Ukraine, No One Will Care."

and it's true!

If a Ukrainian is not able to eat a truck of apples, at least he is able to bite each apple.

Perhaps these are the bytes used for the website www.kiev.info

"We have highest standards for quality assurance in our agriculture!"
"All produce must be carefully inspected." - Dept. of Customs

its like New York
or
referring to the song from the 80's about New York looking like apple core. And Kiev is more than a core.
Anyway I think its a jab at NY

It means : We cannot eat them all, but at least we can bite each one. It's an ukranian motto.

Thanks Uncle Cheb! Funny one
Tanya (Tatysik)is back from a 3 week visit back to Ukraine. Weather 7 nailed it pretty close. The Ukrainian is asked what will you do if I offer you an apple? Well, I will eat it.
What will you do if I offer you a kilo of apples? I will eat them
What will you do if I offer you a truck load of apples. Well, I will eat a bite from each one then I will eat the rest later. ( It shows greed)

You folks crack me up! I love the fact that I can come on this board and have people make me laugh until coffee comes out my nose.

You are the greatest collection of good people on any forum anywhere...and I feel fortunate to be a part of this.

Thanks one and all!!!!!

UKRAINE: How do you like them apples?

UKRAINE: Come and get spoiled!

Ukraine: Come and have a taste!

"What happens in Ukraine stays in Ukrainian!"

Not just greed.I'd say it means: if I can't eat them all no one else will have them.It shows as someone has said earlier: no one cares what happens to the apples:I've had my share, the apples will rot,I won't eat them and no one else will.
I think other former SU nationalities see us as a greedy about food nation
