This might not be a pro russian thread anymore after my expierience from last year but my story continues after (beiing railroaded by the russian consulate)
Yes my story doesnt end there...As recently as 3 weeks ago i got an E-Mail from Olga,no that Olga..the other olga from Sumy...I was tempted at the time i was in St Petersburg to phone her and see if she could join me but.......

Anyway this olga was telling me a sob story that her sister was attacked and needed medical help in the order of 600 $ if i be so kind to send the money pronto !!!!!!!

I did not reply to such nonsense ..last time she wrote me was more then 16 months ago.Now allof a sudden she needed my help...

On a lighter note: I did find some other wonderfull woman to talk to and i n a place you least expect it !! Vietnam of all places..It didnt start out as serious at all just a casual talk,till she said:why dindt you write me i miss you,her e-mail was too difficult for me to get right the first couple times,but she persisted..and i asked her how serious are you prove it to me..
The first couple months were a little slow, a casual webcam,a phoncall, but i was impressed by her patience and never a bad word or nasty comment just very nice conversation and a long get to know eachother curve..Now more then a year later i am making prparations to visit her ..in october and this time it feels right...
we are talkiing 3-5 times a week via webcam and mike now ..something sorry to say i never saw a russian woman even try...Late 30s never married no kids .Vietnames woman have the patience and are very fam oriented and ther man comes first....

Sorry I don't see how that makes her lying about who she SAYS she is - she was just hoping some rich old western man would send her some $$$? Now if you were writing to Olga - then went over to meet her & found out its FAT BORIS, then you could say she wasn't who she said she was.

Don't get down on all because of a few... yes these are WOMEN... and women are the same all over the world... some do NOT like bald men, some do not like facial hair, some do not like overweight, some do not like older men... so like some or all of these things...

I think we men are even more guilty of judging solely on physical appearance than the ladies are. (if we are being honest) Many of the women I know could care less what the man looks like as long as he has certain qualities like kindness, sense of humor, ambition, etc.

In fact, this particular woman was one of the lesser attractive Russian women I have seen. However, thats not the point. The original question was, well, it's at the top of the page. . .

OK... so how many 200 pound women are you looking at??? I suspect NONE...

Physical attraction is very important to all of us, both men and women.. if we are not 'attracted' to our mate.. then why even bother...

And to answer your question... WOMEN ARE WOMEN EVERYWHERE... some are honest and some are dishonest... from your posts... I don't see where the lady did anything wrong.. it seems you have a problem with the results that she is not attracted to you because of something physical.... so what.. that is NOT being dishonest is it?? And she is probably trying to be 'kind' and not say "I hate bald men"...

My point was, and again I will hammer this into your head, Russian women are not as different as some people would like to think. And it does not have to be with looks either. It's just like someone saying, "Oh I just want a job, any job, there is so much unemployment!" Then you offer that person a nicer job, that even they said was a very great job! Then they decide they don't want the job because of some minor reason. What would YOU think of such a person? Now do you finally get my point?

BTW. You don't have to be 200lb to be less attractive than average.

Testman, I had more women who were interested in me than I could handle and I quickly settled on the one I thought was closer to what I was looking for. When I asked why she chose me out of the many that were writing to her, she said it was because there was more substance in my letters and she felt that they were specifically targeted at her. She said my letters did not sound like they were written for a mass audience. A lot about myself, what I do, my plans for the future, etc. This is very difficult at the beginning but you need to address the women like they were the centre of your interest and not just one of many. IMHO, I found that women stuck after 3 to 4 letters at which stage you both start asking each other specific questions. If you think that the woman get interests from many men, she must want to go further with you if she writes to you 3 or more letters.

You must have something common to talk about. One lady I wrote to told me about a man who was passionate about plants and animals. He was obviously an expert at plants and animals and he apparently went on and on and on about plants - the woman was not into plants or animals and she felt she had nothing to write in return and so she cut the communication even though she liked the man.

Like Chrismc I agree. I live in South Florida and I have South Beach just 20 minutes from my house. The women in South Beach are incredibly beautiful, but have such attitudes that you don't want to even talk to them. Of course not all are like this.

I have found where I live that the women that date want a guy that can support them in a high fashion style. They want the big house, money, $70,000 car and they want to not have to answer to you even if you give them all of this. And god forbid if you have a fight , they tell you to F--k off and leave them alone. I can't imagine any FSU women saying that to me.

With the 3 times I have been there I never heard any FSU women curse at all. And I love that.

My women in the Ukraine is none of these things. She wants only a few things.

They are:

1. A man that truly cares about her
2. A happy home with her mate
3. Enough money to pay he bills
4. Children that are healthy & happy
5. Non chaotic atmosphere where there is peace in the home
6. Food on the table

I'm sure if you run into the wrong women in the FSU they have a whole other agenda that is not so nice.

When I went into this looking for a suitable women I honestly thought that it just might take a few visits to find the one. But my 1st trip was not the one. And luckily my 2nd trip was when I met the one. At least I hope it's the one.

I went to see her 2 times and we are getting along great and soon she will be with me in South Florida.

Maybe it's like a dart game. You just have to keep throwing the darts until you hit a bullseye. Also if you stop throwing the darts, the game is over.

I think a good honest FSU women is a night & day difference than the women where I live.

RP - the same experience is to be had on the left coast as well.
Many women have such lofty expectations that they 'deserve' everything great and perfect in life, despite how little they are willing to bring to the table.
A uterus is a wonderful thing, but it is not the holy grail.
I also find it an amazing change that many women in FSU seek to find simple happiness and stability, not a life of the glamorous soap operas.
Maybe it is so refreshing because, quite simply, that's all I want for my life as well. Not to conquer Wall Street, not to assert dominance over a social crowd, not to glorify myself in fame, prestige or material possession.
I only want to find one reliable, honest, moral woman to share everything in life with.
That is not too much to ask for any of us!

Well said, Longfellow. I am a fellow Californian and what you have said is true and I have become weary of it. It is what encouraged me to look elsewhere and discover Russian women. By the way, I'll be interested in hearing of your experience in Crimea, as I was thinking of that location for my second meeting with Olga. Best wishes for your travels.

I was watching a movie with Olga and it was actually pretty tame except for one character who used the F#$* word in every sentence. At the first utterance, Olga remarked about such bad language. As I want a woman with high moral values, that certainly brought her several steps dearer to my heart.

I, too, have had good luck at Elena's Models. Response to my emails has been good and an interesting experience. Don't worry about the hair. I'm losing my hair and a RW never said anything about it. I aso have a beard and mustache and they told me to keep them. I think RW have attractiveness rated much lower then western women.

Keep trying, you will find the right RW that will love you and take care of you forever. Believe me, there are many to choose from. I would post a photo of you that shows you are losing hair. This way there are no surprises.

Very true Bing. I've met some bad RW but the good RW I've met are far more attentive and loving then American women, just my opinion of course.

You will never know a person until you live with them for at least 6 months to a year.
