Looking for a Russian tutor
I am looking a service that provides 1 on 1 tutoring with a native Russian speaker. Best arrangement is if I can talk to the tutor via Skype.

any suggestions?

Thanks Ham

I will take a look. The first lesson is free, so I think I will try it and let people know my results. :-)

W7: I am studying!!! She was too busy chatting online. :-{

I'll ask Tatysik (Tanya) when she gets back in a week. She's already set up with Skype and she has a Masters degree in teaching.Maybe I can sit in on the 'classes' too. But I'd be the teachers pet!! I really need to buckle down and learn the language. I'd love to be able to talk with the folks over there.

AK, you would definitely have the advantage on me in the class. The good thing would be that we are close enough in time zones that it wouldn't be difficult to arrange. Let me know if Tanya's interested. And if it goes well maybe we could have group, RMP skype lessons? That would be cool.

I tried the free class from the site that Ham posted. Marina was an older experienced teacher. You can just tell that she has taught many English speaking students Russian. I am going to give them a few more tries and we will see how it goes.

They emailed me the first 15 pages of the lesson plan. We got through about 4 or 5 pages since I do have some of the basics down. I need to practice some tonight.

I'll see what she thinks about it when she gets back in a week. IMO it'll fly.
