I was helping a friend write a letter to a Russian woman and I think that he is overly aggresive. He is sending a first letter to a Russian woman and telling her that she has a great butt! I think that he is moving way too fast and that it is going to backfire on him. What do you think?

What would anyone think if someone focused solely on their physical appearance? Also, if she really does have a nice one, and I have every reason to suspect it's true, why state the obvious? Be original. That kind of focus is like saying, "I'm a knot of sexual frustration and all I can see in you is an outlet."
By the way, does my butt look big in these Dockers?

I have a friend like this, black is black, white is white and he says everything how he sees it, regardless of the consequences. I am often saying to him , think about what you are going to say before spurting it out!!!

Some people are like this, and if this is how your friend is in real life, its no good trying to pretend to be someone else in his letters - obviously it may take him quite a lot longer to find someone that appreciates his mannerisms.

I definitely agree that you should be yourself. If you like McD's, let it be known but also let them know you like good food also. Maybe if he doesn't hear back from anyone it will be the catalyst for him to do some self reflection.

That is a good point. If it is the true nature of the man and the direct statements cause the woman to lose interest, it was already lost because eventually the truth of personality will out.
I doubt your friend is a complete lecher and has many good qualities. So does the woman. Focus on that.

If he is writing his first letter to this woman and he already knows she has a hot butt... Then I would suggest he is wasting his time as she is probably not a woman at all and rather a fat Yuri waiting for the pay off.....

If she is a real woman and he has seen her butt.. then I would suggest that she is probably a GTG and just waiting for him to splash money all over her.

No serious self respecting RW (who wants a real long-term relationship) would show her butt off in initial photographs and CERTAINLY, she would not be expecting such commments in a first letter...

One more comment...even simple words can/do have multiple meanings in english and can get lost intranslation. At best, it sounds like this person has not even considered the cultural divide that separates him with her. KISS is something we all should live by when conversing with someone from FSU or anywhere else for that matter. Shoot, I was emailing a girl from england and about 15 to 20 percent of the time we didn't know what we were saying! haha FMB's If you know what this is, you are probably in a relationship with an english girl.
