Russian women in the southwest

I would like to hear from any American that has married a Russian woman and now lives a in Southwestern desert climate. I currently live in southern California but have job conditions that might favor a possible move to Las Vegas, Nevada. I am concerned that even if I was to find the right Russian woman, she might not be happy living in a desert climate which would be completely different from what she is used to. Not to mention Las Vegas is not exactly a culturally rich environment. Does anyone have experience with this sort of situation? I know I am asking an extremely general question, and it is virtually impossible to categorize all Russian women in terms of what makes them happy or unhappy. However, if there are even one or two happy stories in the bunch it would give me some encouragement. I would particularly be interested in hearing from any Russian ladies that have encountered this situation. Thank you.

Ben

My wife and I live in San Antonio and she really likes it. She is a little frustrated with the job situation, especially when being bilingual (for her) does not help.

My wife enjoys the desert of Southern California. Technically speaking, So. Cal. is desert because of the annual rainfall totals, but us urbanites always associate the eastern areas as "the desert." We spend a great deal of time in "the desert" because that is where I was raised and there are many family and friends that live there. She also likes to visit the National Monuments and other "playgrounds" in the southwest desert.

And I am still amazed how someone from Siberia can be cold here, but she is usually cold, even in the summer. Of course, one of our lady friends came to So. Cal. from Illinois and she usually always has a sweater or jacket with her if she is not wearing it.
