How personal is it to call my friend Natashen'ka.
Her name is Natalia but she goes by Natasha just as I am Kenneth and go by the name Ken. Some people call me Kenny and I don't really think twice about it.
I somehow get the feeling that it would be too forward to presume to call Nat by Natashen'ka.
What is meaning and proper usage?

Natalia is Kenneth

Natasha is Ken

Natashen'ka is Kenny ... sort of

Natashen'ka is the most personal variant. True. If I were you I would ask if she likes to be called Natashen'ka. It's a matter of taste.

I am Natalia and insist on this option because I hate "Natasha" and don't like "Natashen'ka".

Just ask It's the best way to know smth.

I wrote to a girl named Natalia before.
She told me I could call her any of those names, but not to call her Nat because it is a little bug or fly.
