Hi everyone Royal here with a question to anyone who might have done this before.

My question is: If you were going to send an email of a document to the Ukraine, in what format would you save this document to send it ? Would you make it a JPEG, Adobe file, PDF etc ?

I am asking because I had to email my girl a document for her to sign her signature to so she could then mail me the original copy that she put her signature on.

She said she could not print an Adobe or PDF file. So I made it a JPEG file and she said she was finally able to print it. She did not have the program ADOBE READER in her computer at home or her computer at work. And she works for a very big company in Odessa as an accountant.

Do any of you have any experience with knowing what to save your file as so you can send it in an email to the Ukraine ?

As I said before , so far we had good luck saving the document as a JPEG , but she still had to visit a friend of hers to use her friends computer to print our document.

I use a MACBOOK computer laptop. Using Firefox or Safari>

ANY COMMENTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED !

PDF files are great to send. If she doesn't have Adobe reader she can get it for free here.

I have sent lots just in WORD format, no problem at all, most of them have MS Word etc now, or you could send it in Notepad etc even basic computers who have MS have that installed.

The document that I emailed her was the G-325A .

I filled it in for her and then sent it in an email. Is there a way to save Adobe documents to Microsoft Word? I saved it as a PDF and a JPEG . She printed it as a JPEG and said it was fine.

You can convert from .pdf to word and then in MS word save the file in word 2000 format.

check out

for the how-to's on doing it.

However the easiest solution is to get the FREE .pdf reader and install it. Takes a while to download though if you are on dial-up. IF she only has a dial up connection, she should be able to go to an internet cafe have them download it and burn it to a CD.

hope this helps.

I wonder if she tried to call her company IT service to do it all for her.

I know a lot of office workers who can only turn the comp on and off. I am not that bad but call IT service any time when I need to install smth or smth does not work properly.

I always use .jpg. Adobe is a memory hog and very slow. It would take forever to download Adobe with Russian dial up plus the cost of using Internet time. Stick with .jpg.

A big company in Odessa on dial-up??? Most unlikely.

I think she just doesn't want her colleagues to read all these forms, documents or whatever Royal wants to send her.

She does not want anyone in her office to know that she is coming to the U S to be with me. She is afraid that if her boss finds out now that she has intentions of leaving that he will terminate her now. So this is why she went to her friends office to make copies of the forms I sent her for the K 1 visa.

And the jpeg seemed to work best.
