Mail.ru what causes blacklisting ?

Have posted this here as I thought maybe better than UK boards as someone here might know..

I recently had some e mails bounce back after sending from my Yahoo uk addy to mail Ru addys.
The info I got in the bounce back headers was that my IP address is blocked by mail RU.
I sent a request to mail ru enquiries and got a message back to say I was blacklisted but that it would be removed.
I just am interested to know what would cause this ?
In the past I have had no problem sending mail to RU its only something I have recently become aware of.
I did ask them to give me an explanation but nothing forthcoming.
Any ideas ?

Ha Ha.........thanks very much..........
Actually there are other connections........I am getting bogus e mails (one was reputed to have seen me here )....
I changed all my passwords but as we all know if someone has personal details they can access them!!!

To be honest I am getting fed up with it........but am on to it now.
Have invested 30 quid on a nice pce of software lol
Bride ru did lift the block.........7 times and then put them back again.
I am now going to ask them if I can have a medal for making more posts there than I have made on RMP.in the last few days.............

I had the same thing happen last year, do you use Mailwasher??
I suspect that all the russian sourced spam I was getting was bounced back to mail.ru and they though I was spamming.

Yes I can understand this....what I could not understand was why after each time I wrote to them asking to lift the block it was on again soon after they lifted it.
Curiously it only happened with certain addresses I assumed these had configured their own settings maybe.
I am happy to say that so far in the last few weeks its not happened.
I am now deliberating tho on another mystery.
I was given a so called Russian cellphone number complete with Russian codes.
It looks genuine enough but turns out that its a UK number......Am still trying to get my head around this one.
The reason I found out was after trying to use one of the cheap connection centres.
After entering the codes required and then dialling the full number...a voice came on and said "You are trying to call a number in the UK ....please use access code......"
Got me baffled.

Hi Martin,

Thought you'd left Glad to see otherwise... To be honest, we get the same when we send mail from the school... we have a mail.ru address and yes, we are using the infamous "Bat!" and mail often bounces back when we are trying to write to yahoo addresses and sometimes hotmail too.

Hey Martin. There is a facility on mail Ru that lets you add to blacklist.....like block senders list on microsoft outlook. It may be that the person you are trying to send the email to has you on the black/block senders list???? Cheers Mate

Thanks Guys for your replies.
Yes looks likely that all these things are a consideration.
Ok another question although I think maybe better posted in the scammers threads...while I am here and we have been talking bout this.......In the same e mail I have been looking for the bat. Today I saw this

Voyager (v3.80.04) Professional
