Immigration at which airport?

I am trying to find the best way to get my Fiancee from Kiev to Tulsa.
I'd like to fly her to Dallas, but it goes via JFK.
If she changes planes at JFK, will she go thru immigration there, or at Dallas?
If she goes thru immigration at Dallas, will she just change planes at JFK?

Thanks for your replies.

ranjon,

it has been my experience that she would go through customs at the port of entry which is JFK. Most airports I have traveled through have seperate terminals for International flights. My guess would be that she would go through customs at JFK and then change planes for a domestic flight, but I would suggest just calling the airlines that she is flying with and ask them.

Good luck!

Just a suggestion, but why waste a perfectly good opportunity to see New York. You don't you fly to JFK, spend the day in NYC with her, then fly with her to Dallas. If I remember correctly, she will go through customs upon entry into the U.S.
