Does anyone know any sites where you can buy or trade DVD's, VCD's or even AVI or MPEG files of American movies in Russian language. Preferably, here in the US or at least that don't need to ship from Russia and take a few weeks.

I'll have to find the website for you. I just got back from Minsk so I'm a bit wiped-out, but I'll try to post by the weekend.

I do have three DVDs that I bought in Minsk that are in Russian Language (English/Russian audio and English subtitles.) The movies are:

1) Jeepers Creepers
2) Kill Bill
3) Bulletproof Monk

Jeepers Creepers was pretty stupid as far as horror movies go. Bulletproof Monk is your typical martial arts movie and Kill Bill is... well... a movie that you either loved or hated. But it's a great way to learn bad language in Russian!

I'd like to offer to let a few of my Russian friends in LA borrow them first. After that, if you're interested, just email me and I can let you borrow them.

You can also subscribe to Dish Networks Russian Television International for $30 A month. My wife loves it.

You can download films from www.kinozal.com , using the Bittorrent peer to peer network. These include both Russian films and English films with Russian dubbed dialogue.

thanx all for the info,
i'll try out all the ideas and let you know how things go.
along the same lines, does anyone know why when you see an American movie in Russia in the movie theatre you don't hear the English sound track playing a half second before the Russian translation but you do hear it on the DVD? it's annoying listening to 2 languages at once.
