who saw these 2 movies-? bpat 1 and bpat 2-? (brother 1 and brother 2) theve got to be the 2 most famous russian crime movies of all time, well there not actually CRIME movies if u watch them both and understand russian and know what there talking about. sergey bodrov (r.i.p.) played the leading character so well in both films, hes a hero for many young aspiring russian actors now just because of those 2 movies, myself included. they both painted such a somewhat accurate portrait of what saint petersburg and moscow are like now a days, kinna. backalleys, awesome night clubs, sometimes crappy, vudkah always being drunk, go figure. and guns, lots of guns. awesome flicks. any1 else wanna put in ur inputs on these 2 movies-? i haev some vid clips to share of the 2 films if any1's interested, just msg me nad ill be more than happy to send them to you.

Marvellous films, I thoroughly enjoyed both. And my wife, who has some experience of the crime scene in Russia, thinks they are both good movies and quite truthful of the era they are evoking.

I was speaking not about life here but about quality standarts for movies. Russia may be is getting better ( though last time had a discussion aout this issue it appeared that "better" was only in soia kolabasa in shops like I got it) but till now I can't see too many films ( if there is even one at all) made in "times of freedom" which would deserve to stay next to movies made in cesorshiped soviet times.
