I am having trouble finding the private folder. I have one private message that I am unable to get to. Any help would be great.

If you look under the header on each page, you'll see "User CP." Click on this and you'll see that the first box is for Private Messages. To the right of that, you'll see (in yellow letters) "Read Private Messages." Just click on that and you'll be able to access your PMs!
