Just a quick update on my situation. Well I guess this is the beginning of a trip report thanks to Fireman Sam. Why? I asked Fireman Sam for the name of the website where he met his Anna.

Signed up before xmas and have been corresponding via LL and Skype and webcam ever since with a lovely lady from Nikopol, so on Monday we will meet in Kiev if I can find her at the train station LOL with an odd number of Red roses in hand.I am so excited

I am back but some background info before the trip report.

I was talking to my lady via Skype and she informed me that she had to be in Kiev on a certain day would it be possable for me to be there also, now she gave me a weeks notice to arrange this."It is easy she said"

I was thinking of all the reasons why I couldn`t go, work, house renovations, money,etc. Then I thought if this women wants to see me, then I have to prove to her that I want to see her just as much if not more.
And finally do something for me also.

I know you are all thinking met her in her home town etc, but there is nothing to do in her town, also I have prior experience of spending a week with someone you don`t get on with.This situation was perfect for me I had some days in Kiev before she arrived and 3 days together ideal situation for me at this time.

I wanted this trip to be sucessful so wanted more of a dating situation trips out and time in the apartment together, drinkng tea and watching TV etc.

So with no plan B I departed on Saturday 24/02/07

I'm not sure i fully understand to what you wanted proving. Her proving something to you or the other way around. From my expierence you want to see some signs that she is there for you in a relationship as much as you are for her. That means 100% from both partners. We all know in ourselves how much of ourselves we are giving to another and hopefully it is a 100% as often as possible. The dilemma from a male point of view in these circumstances is there is not much opportunity for the female overseas to show tangible signs she is really there for you 100% aswell. That is why the only way of finding out for sure is to go yourself and see in person how they are in person. Then you are seriously committed to finding out if there is real potential for a serious relationship and there is the adventure of seeing another part of the world. I guess it soughts out the fair dinkum people from the wishy washy.

Hey NCZ,
I think what shaun was saying is that his lady had offered the opportunity to meet and he wanted to show her that he was keen too! His post tells us that they have had some lead time together through skype etc, and now that the opportunity to spend some time together in a dating sense has arisen, he did not want to display to the lady that he was baulking at the idea.

He points out that there is the issue of not meeting on home turf, but that he is willing and able to meet on neutral terms and have a "real date".

There is nothing dubious in his post, only the suggestioun that there is more to come... I for one, wait impatiently for a little more news!!

When he is willing to share that is. (And what he is willing to share. No pressure Shaun!)

I can just see you being one of those little boys on christmas eve getting up extra early driving your parents crazy ripping opening your present.
Anna will have to teach you to slow down in probably more ways than one...

Saturday 24-02-07

Awake early take the short drive to the Airport straight through check in and customs no probelm.

Sit waiting for the flight to Schipol and suddenly for the first time I`m nervous. I do not know why I think because I have done this type of trip before. This time it feels differant nerves soon pass and I settle down to my book Can`t beat Charles DIckens to settle you down LOL.

Good flights to Schipol and Kiev and breeze through customs at Borispol to meet my driver.
Handshakes and privets, and we progress to his car while I practise my Russian on him, my case goes in the boot and we settle in his car, he gets some paperwork and points to an address on the sheet of paper. "Nyet I said wrong address and only two nights booking instead of four" Yep you guessed it wrong driver LOL. Back too arrivals and I await the right driver while fending off the circling taxi drivers.

Lucky you worked it out before he dropped you at the wrong address!! The way you are drawing this out seems similar to my first adventure abroad! I hope that you will tell us (Without too much detail) about you finally meeting the lass!

Wrong driver thats good even for me, toped myself on that one LOL.

Eventualy I see the driver standing 50 yards away blocked by a piller, privets and KAk delas and we are away to the apartment.On the way there the driver asked me why I chose it, I started to worry.

We cross over the Dnipro and I am amazed to see it frozen and people fishing through the ice a great sight to see.

We pull up at the apartment about twenty minutes from Independence square by foot not to bad.

I had booked this apartment from Kiev Rent over the internet, checked the pictures everything looked nice separate room for my lady nice furnishings etc.Man was i wrong those pictures i saw must of been taken ten years earlier I kid you not,even asked the driver were we in the right place. Yep right apartment. Told him this is not good enough for my lady I will stay 1 night then move to a hotel if need be.At this time my lady sent a text even asking me if flat was nice, I rang her back and said it was not good enough for her I am trying to change. Well to cut a short story short I asked the driver to find me and apartment for the next three nights. He made one phone call and I was to be picked up the next day at twelve to move to another apartment.

Driver left and i walked to o`briens had a pint and some grub and chatted to an Irish lad about Kiev.Then walked back to the apartment in temperature -8
for an uncomfortable night on a sofa bed.

Sunday 25/02/07

Take a quick walk to Dynamo Kievs staduim, get hassle from some guy asking for money, pretend I don`t understand Russian and return to find driver waiting for me.

We preceed to new apartment 300 yards from o`briens walk in amazing wood floors decorated in a Japenese theme, nice shower room, kitchen, and big living room and nice room for my lady.Pay the landlady thank the driver and I am finally settled in Kiev happy.

Next on the agenda purchase a hat for 20 grivena, and suddenly I am not so cold any more. Roses purchased return to the apartment, settle them in water off to the supermarket purchase some items we will need for breakfast, then to o briens watch the Carling cup final and have dinner, return for an early night. My lady sends a text, I ring back explain everything and she is as excited as me she is just getting on the train to arrive Monday morning.

I think you must have had a similar view in the taxi going over the river as me, last year in February. I remember seeing people playing (or doing something) on the frozen, iced up Dnipro river.

Although you were unlucky with the first apartment, it's good to see you had it sorted in time for your lady visiting. I'm hoping the fact that you have mentioned not having a plan B, does not mean you needed one.

Monday 26/02/07

Up early clean the apartment grab the roses and I am out the door with and an hour to spare.
Arrive at the station with 45 minutes to go. I must look a funny sight with a big bunch of Roses in hand as I am receiving some admiring glances from some very attractive women.

Telephone call from my lady she has just pulled into the station where am I ? by the escalator as you told me, ok she says" I will be there in a minute"

I move across to the left hand side of the station to wait.

The I spot my lady "wow she is even more beautiful than I realised" I said to myself. She is wearing a fox fur coat and a cute little hat.

I walk over say " privet ? and we have a good hug and I hand her the flowers.

My lady buys her return ticket, then we go to the apartment.She likes the apartment so I am pleased. We have some tea and then view each others photos.I give her presents for her mother chocolates and a Norwich celebratory van from the championship winning season and a pen for her son.

My lady has to see the health departent to discuss her job so off we go and find and wait in the helth department while she is seen.Not the result she was hoping for, I could see she was a little upset.

We go and have coffee and I show her where I stayed the first time I was in Kiev and explain everything about my first and second trip to Ukraine then we return to the apartment.

I suggest we go Ice skating as she said she liked doing this. We ride the metro man thats a long escalator.My lady asks me if I have done ice skating before no I said.

Off we go onto the ice yep striaght on my arse LOL we had a great time her skating lke an angel me like a man with disfunctional legs.She told me later that I am a strong man because I kept trying. We finish and have some drinks etc. We head back to the apartment and get ready for dinner.

At this point I have never felt so comfortable with a women she is pretty stylish and clever.

I had told my lady that I knew a good resturant so along we go it is packed and smokey, she doesn`t want to eat there, ok we go to another self surface not romantic I tell her.

We wander across Kruscatic street and find a traditional Ukrainian resturant tucked away up an alley.

Resturant was nice the wine was more expensive than the meal, they told me there only had that sort, perhaps it was because I was English.

We had a nice chat and meal was nice my lady had a plunging top on, man it was difficult not to keep eye contact.

We walk home and see slips her arm into mine.

27/02/007

Tuesday morning I am up and changed before my lady. We prepare breakfast together and have small talk. Make tea without milk and sugar she can`beleive I drink it like this now she likes it also.

We sit it the lounge discussing what we are to do today my lady says she wants to go to the church with the caves. Cant remember what the name is I told her I had visited before but I want to go because she does. I go to collect coats and when I return she is still sitting on the coach.My lady gets up puts her arms around me and we share some tender kisses.

I ride the metro again I love this metro system now. We visit the caves good guide in Russian, seems I am quite a celebratory because I am English.

We go back to Kurscuck Street and have lunch in a traditional fast food where they sell Urkranian dishes I have Borsch it was nice but quite cold, good value though.

Then we walk back to the apartment arm in arm in the snow.

The rest of the afternoon is private but we do surface to go and see De Javu at the cinema.

My lady told me it had been a number of years since she had been to the cinema, s it was nice to take her places she hadn`t been for a while.

We are sitting outside the screen waiting for the film to start, then someone realises the film is starting and all SIX people rush in to find a seat. I must admit I was struggling to stay awake at times sure difficult to understand in Russian, I will have to rent it when it comes out.

We walk back to the apartment in the snow so romantic, the rest of the day is private.

Wednesday 28/02/07

Up late today and have breakfast, we pack our bags and then we lie on the couch discusing things together and taking a few pictures.

Driver collects us and takes us to the train station where we drop of my ladies case, she departs later after me. We go to a nice American themed resturant called DE JAVU good value and good food.

Then its off to the Airport to wait for my flight, we are both sad to see each other go.

My Lady waits at the barrier untill my bags are checked and I have to go throught to departures.And we wave each other good bye.

We exchange SMS will I am waiting to board.

I arrive back in England to a SMS asking if I am home. I reply yes and ask if she is safe on the train etc.

My thoughts

So that is my trip report 2-3 days with a women I really want to get to know better.

We have discssud about meeting next month not sure where yet.

Since I have returned home we have continued talking via Skype and Webcam. Friday was the first day she had email conection and she told me she had been waiting all morning for me to come online.

Saturday we had finished talking earlier and then she had spotted me online and just called me so she could see me.Cute I was writing TR at time didn`t tell her though.

I like this women alot she is attractive,intelligent and funny.I am taking it day by day and we will see how things develop.I am thinking with the big head and we will see where things go after the next meeting. I would like to see her in her home town and then in England.
It is the little things she does that make her so special to me.I am not in love but I don`t think it would take too much to be LOL.

On Thursday she will receive a big bunch of roses and some Chocolates just to show how much I care about her.And a special message.

In the past I wasted so much time on the wrong women, see previous trips, now I want to spend my time on the right women and it feels good and I`ll keep you posted.

Well its been a while since my last trip, see report in Visiting Khargov.

Thought I would update as too where I am at.

After the Kharkov trip I knew any future I had with Tatyana was just as friends in Skype.

So I made contact with the girl I never got to visit, she sent me a dear Shaun letter thats why I never got to visit her.

Well it turned out that she was now married and living in England and everything for her was really good and she was happy etc.

But she wanted me to be happy and find a good women still etc and she had made friends with a Russian women in England, and discussed me with her and would I like to write to her. She discribed her as Intelligent, attractive and she wants children excellant sounds ideal.

So I sent her my letter and photo and we began to write and exchange photos, then quickly progressed to weekly phone calls.This was in early November and we progressed into December, as the days went by I began to look forward to the phone calls, as we would chat for 90 minutes at a time about everything.Just after the Russian new year we arranged to meet in her home town.

20-01-08 Sunday

Up early I have a 4 hour drive to make and I wanted too make sure I was there in enough time.

I had booked a nice resturant for us just back from the seafront, and I wanted too make sure I knew where it was prior to our meeting, it pays to show you know where you are going.

I parked the car up and found the resturant easily enough so I knew where I was, just had 1.5 hours too wait till the meeting time, yes I was keen LOL.

I found a coffee shop and while I was waiting thought about the other meetings I had hard. This one was in my own country, she spoke excellant English with no trace of a Russian accent probable more European, in fact I had only heard her speak Russian once. And we had built a better foundation between us than the last three women put together.

I went back to the car collected the five roses I had for her and walked slowly to the meeting place.

As I walked down the road I good see the other women looking at my flowers and smiling to themselves, perhaps there were thinking who is the lucky women.I was thinking I am a lucky man giving flowers to an attractive women also.

I arrive at the meeting place, and look around for her no sign, the i spot her see was early like me and standing just round the corner.

Well guys my first thought in my head "she looks older than I thought" and my first words to her "Privet these are for you" my second words "you are smaller than I expected but very attractive", she thanked me for the compliment. She had told me she was small probable about 5 foot in her 1 inch heels.She was wearing a full length black leather coat, black boots with tassles and pom pom and 3/4 lentgh trousers with a black sweater with buckles that attached the arms to the sweater.

We decided to go for a walk along the sea front and chatted away till we had to go to the resturant.

We arrived at the resturant I took her coat and waited untill she returned from the toilet to pull her chair out and made sure she was comfortable.

The resturant was very good and the food was excellant, we didn`t stop talking all the way through. We discussed her current situation she lives with a russian family and looks after their youngest child.Her plans for the future which matched mine, and I knew this women would add much to my life she wasn`t just after a visa extension.But had plans and dreams for the future the first one being she wanted a child within the next 2 years and then wanted to have a career.Excellant a women who wanted everything I wanted.

We left the resturant and got some coffee in th esame place i was in before. This time I didn`t look like a nervous wreck like I did earlier.

During coffee we veiwed each others photos, and laughed and joked together, and shared some secrets with each other about our families and lives.
I then gave her a book I had bought for her, The Bridges of Madison County, It is about a short romance between a married woman and a photographer, I told her this would help her English and that as she was a romantic lady she would enjoy it.

It was time for me to depart the time had gone so quickly. We left the coffee shop and I told her I would take her home so I could be sure she was safe when I left.

We crusied down the seafront, my lady poiting out her favourite places and where my old friend now lived with her husband.We pulled up outside where she is staying. I open her door and help her out and collect her roses that were on the back seat and walk her to her front door. We thank each other for a lovely time together, and agreee I will ring on my usual day to see where we go from here.I am rewarded with a kiss on the cheek and I drive home happy about the day, I text when I get home and she is happy about the day and that I got home safely.

You may think why I am not naming names in my report well I just want to protect the lady who gave me the oppotunity to meet the lady I am writing about.

Some additional information

During the phone calls with my lady we discussed relationships quite often I told her all about the three previous women.I asked her had she been in a long term relationship no she had no time because in Russia she worked three jobs.But see did tell me someone had broken her heart once, and she wondered now why see got so upset at the time.

We discussed children how many we both would like etc.

We discussed why I was searching for a Russian wife, feminity, good family values etc.

My lady explained that see was only searching for a husband who would be a good father for her children, she didn`t want a boyfriend.

Well the time came for the usual phone call, I was feeling really good about her and being positive. I make the call.

Well after 8 weeks of phone calls 1 great date, she didn`t see me as a long term prospect.

Turns out she is looking for a man like her ex long term boyfriend.

Her words" I am good man, romantic man, kind man she can see I love children and would be a great father to her children, but she didn`t see any marriage lasting more than a few years."

Well at the time I was gutted, I was looking forward too seeing her again.
The next day I finally got my promotion at work and thought about everything and decided to put it down to experience.

I really liked this women, it was more than she was attractive I felt close too her in a short space of time.

During the phone call she asked me to describe my ideal women, well shes short, brown hair and brown eyes. Yep just described her, this question came up after i told her about the ex girlfriend who dumped me after I told her I loved her.She was Bulgarian thats where my interest in foreign women comes from.

So where do I go from here guys? your comments and advice would be helpful

I will post more tomrrow now I am going out to get drunk and I don`t even drink.

Sorry to hear your news Shaun. My strategy has always been, write many see 1. That way if you don't find "the one" on your first meeting, you have more to choose from.

I guess my first question would be, do you want to travel to the Former Soviet Union? If so, I would look for girls in Moldova. It is a very friendly country, many beautiful women, and about a 4-5 hour flight from the UK. I can help hook you up if you'd like. Let me know.

If you don't want to go to the FSU, I would ask some of the UK members for their thoughts.

Yeah strange but at least she was honest.

She had told me about other meetings, some guys only got one date others got 2. I think the longest was 4 dates then he moved and never called her again. She explained that before we meet so I knew where I stood.

She was the sort of women you just want to put your arms around and protect,or it could just be me thinking this.

Last week I tried to ring her for a chat but she has returned to Russia maybe for good, I wasn`t expecting her to return until May, she doesn`t know if she will return. Perhaps the authorities told her to leave who knows.

It has been a good experience I now know what type of women I am looking for.At this point I am looking but not writing to anyone, I will be going to Russia at some point this year so maybe I will meet someone there.

As to Tatyana we still Skype she has started to ask for my help financially, but I refuse too. She says I should support her to show how much I care for her it is expected in the Ukraine.In my book support and caring comes from two people not just one.

I just read your update. Damn it, for a moment there I thought you had finally found your happy ending. I always say to find the positives from the experiences and at least you've looked back on it and concluded the sort of woman you're searching for. If you are going to Russia later in the year, why not try to set something up during the coming months? It does kind of make sense to, but I guess it depends on what your plans in Russia involve and how much time you could devote to meeting someone whilst there. Well after the last lady number 4 I think, I thought I knew what I wanted and where this was all leading too.

I will start from where I left off last time.

I received a PM from a member VIC2012 he lives in the next county and we decided to meet up when his lady was back home. Must say a great guy very interesting life he`s had, we shared a few stories and photos, and I decided to start my search again.

I put my profile back on Elena`s Models and paid for a limited number of Introductions.

I will second that Shaun, I have met Vic too and you are right he is a nice guy. I was actually instrumental in he and Victoria getting back together a couple of years ago.

I spent a couple of evenings searching the profiles, I even saw the last lady I met on there LOL. Then I thought lets search by location so picked I the UK. Some nice girls but not in my age range, then I saw L`s profile and she lives in the same city so I send an EOI and receive EOI back.

Because of my limited membership I could only see the main picture on her profile, nice studio shot though. I sent her an email with my telephone number and received one back, then sent her one back suggesting since we are in the same city I would call her the next day she agreed this was a good idea.

I called her the next day and we had a difficult chat, difficult because at one point she started crying because she was happy someone had called her. A bit apprehensively ( from my side, because her was a very emotional women ) we arranged to meet the next day in the city for a coffee.

Let me just update a few points, i put my profile on Elenas models in February 2008 and met L at the end of February.

The meeting.

I was thinking as I was walking to meet L for the first time this will be the shortest trip and the cheapest to meet a FSU woman. I arrived at the alloted time and their she was.

My first thoughts were she is a bit bigger than her photo and a few years older.The complete opposite to V the last one. We go upstairs in the library to have a drink and some snacks at Pizza hut, she liked the view.

L told me how she came to be in Norwich, about five years ago she was on Cindy Agencys books in Dnepropetrovsk,she meet a guy who came for a tour to Dnepropetrovsk wiith Cindy`s. He picked a few girls from the catalogue she was the only on ewho turned up to met him and they arranged to get married after 2 weeks. He went back once more to see her then she applied for fiancee visa which she paid for and she came to live with him.

I told L all about my previous trips and my enjoyment of Ukraine and its people.

We left the resturant L did a little shopping and a I walked her to the bus stop, gave L a peck on the cheek, and told her i would ring on Wednesday.

Weds we had a good chat and we arranged to meet earlier on the next Saturday.

Saturday we met up and had a walk to a local park, we were discussing the fact L couldn`t get a job and that she felt a failure and she started crying, I think she is too had on herself. L applies for about 6 jobs a week she really wants too work and not just take the money the social gives her.

We decide to go and watch a film "The accidental Husband" the wrost film I have ever sat and watched the best thing about the film is it is 1 hour 20 minutes long. L enjoyed the film and she cheered up, on the way to the cinema L takes my hand and it seems quite natural.

We walk arm in arm to the bus stop, and I am rewarded with a peck on the lips.I say I will ring on Wednesday as usual.

Weds comes around againnad we agree to meet early Saturday as it is Womens day and I would like to take her out for the day. L told me not to do anyhing special as she wasn`t used to it. Apparantly her husband never bought her flowers, and he said he liked the Ukraine because it was cheap.

I have now been to Russia 15 times in the last 2 years , I have seen many places and met so many wonderfull people, so I guess you could say I have fallen in love with country as well as the ladies

It was during one night when I was checking mail, I got a chat box come up with this lady called Elena wanting to have a chat with me, so I thought what the hell why not and the rest is now history.
We have met every month since Oct 07 and on her birthday I asked her to marry me and she said YES

March 8th Womens day

I meet up with Elena near her flat, she wouldn`t let me see it because it was untidy. I was really pleased too see her and I was starting to have feelings for her, which was a surprise as she is so different to any of the others.

We took a drive to the coast and as we were parked up I collected the flowers I had bought from the boot and presented them to her, she was very pleased.

We had a nice walk along the sea and by the dunes and sat watching the sea go out. As we walked back we had our first proper kiss, apparantly it was quite good because she just stood there savouring the moment and said wow to herself.L suggested we go into the woods and we found a quite place to kiss and talk.

This is what I learnt.

She had tried twice with her husband for a baby and misscaried.

Her husband didn`t want to try again and ignored her until she left him.

The final straw was her husband telling her " she should be happy she has a roof over her head "

Did I see myself having children with her " I said I no longer wanted children but who knows what the future brings"

The picture on Elenas models was 5 years old, the same one she used for Cindys.

We left the sea and carried driving along the coast.L asked me if their was anything I didn`t like about her I should tell her now before it became an issue later."No you are fine as you are" I said

What I should of said was " please stop wearing the horrible knited scarf you made the night before, and always wear matching underwear" but I didn`t. I don`t know about you but I hate when women wear non matching underwear LOL. We stoped for a bit too eat then I took her home, in the car she again asked about children, i gave the same answer as before. We kissed goodbye she was a little quiet I got the flowers for her and away she went to home.

Sunday 9-03-08

I received a wierd email from L thanking me for a nice time and good luck in my search.

We had a misunderstanding and she wanted me to take her home, again she was quiet and she was crying again, as i said emotional women, she just got out of my car and said "everything is in my hands" and walked away.

Well my now it seemed we were in whirlwind one minute we were togther next we were apart.L seemed to think we should me together every minute of everyday and I wanted some space.We had known each other for a short time,I thought it was too soon for total commitment.

The next week we met again L was cooking me Bosch at my place, we met in the supermarket and had fun collecting all the ingrediants. She was very touchy feely.

We drove back to mine and L prepared the Bosch, while she was doing this I just relaxed.I went through to the kitchen and told her how nice it was to have a women cook for me and how nice it was she was there. The we shared a very passionate embrace, but she had to get back to the Bosch.

L came through after seeing to the Bosch, and we left off from before, then she took my hand and asked me to take her to bed.

Well without going through the details, we fooled around for a while. We had discussed about protection before, she didn`t want to use any I certainly did. As we lied in bed L asked me if I would give her a child, she didn`t want anything from me except this, no responsibilities nothing, I could see it once a week if i wanted.

I am a man of principles and respect I would never bring a child into the world and just walk away, I come from a broken home and always wished for a better father, and I certainly wouldn`t use myself as a sperm bank.

Don`t get me wrong I really liked L for a larger lady she was very sexy and curvy in the right places, but I couldn`t she a long term future.

The next time we met up this happened again, this time she had bought some new underwear especially for me, my favourite colur red.But i couldn`t do as she asked.We went out for a drive to look at a house she had been offered, a 50% partnership house with a housing association.She asked me again for a child on the way back, when i said no she just cried all the way home.

I dropped her at home we hugged with tears running down our faces, and she walked away. I will never forget seeing her walk away, I was upset with myself for breaking her heart and causing her distress, that was the last thing I wanted to do, but finishing it this way seemed easiest.

Later that evening she sent me a card saying she loved me.

So thats where I am at in total 5 trips to Ukraine to see 3 women, 2 women in England and still single. But I wouldn`t change anything I have learnt so much about differant countries and a new language, and about myself.

Sounds a lot like me......five trips also, and still single.......and, for the most parts, no regrets ----I learned a lot of things.......and this definitely would not have happened had I gone someplace else.

Wow, I really feel for both of you reading that. Sometimes, relationships just suck for both people involved. Both of you being very genuine and wanting perfectly normal things.. but it just doesn't work for you.

So as I write this Today I am alone but extremly happy. L has taught me that I can care and that someone can love me for being me, I will always remember this experience.

I have taken all my profiles down and I am not searching for a while, maybe this will be forever who knows.

On Sunday I am going to Estonia for a short break, it`s time for a bit of me time and if someone comes along great if not, I will always have the love of my life Liverpool FC LOL.

It`s been emotional,expensive and worth every penny.
