Im British but work in ukraine giving assistance to wife seekers, business men etc, and last week a guy from canada whom i did some written translating for/and physical checking to make sure his girl exists, went quite the moment i asked for payment! (And he was wrote loads of letters to me complaing about the marriage agency scamming problem!)

stupid me for not taking payment up front (although its not normally a problem!)

Sorry to hear that mate.... but that is part of doing business, you have losses with some customers..

And I would not call it a 'scam' per se as he did not get money from you, but services... there are always some who do not want to pay... that is not a scam..
