Okay....here is a SERIOUS question

I have discussed my background on the general forum. In brief, I met a Russian woman in 1999, married her, and contracted hsv in short order. The marriage was ended 18 months later.

I've been on my own for about 7 years and am tired of being alone. In fact, I'm sick of it. The problem is the std. I've met one woman, a Ukranian, that I really could see settling down with but its obvious to me that she cannot deal with it.

It has been suggested to simply write Russian women and that they would react somewhat differently than American or western women. I somehow don;t see that. Who wants to knowingly acquire something like this? It isn't life threatening but is damned uncomfortable.

My thought had been to contact agencies directly, explain my situation, and ask if any hsv+ women had applied. To be honest, I haven't contacted that many and those I have contacted haven't been helpful at all.

I would prefer to be upfront with anyone about this for the obvious reasons. I would also prefer someone who already has it so the moral problems don't crop up.

If anyone has any brilliant suggestions, I'm more than willing to listen.

continue to be honest, and open about the situation.

Here is a dating site you can use that allows you to meet women with HSV. I see there is drop down menu and you can select Russin Federation.

Thanks for the link. I'll take a close look at the site. I do have to tell you that I'm already a member of two similar sites and most Eastern European women on there have been scammers. That doesn't necessarily mean that this site would have the same problem.

I might also add that most American women on such sites couldn't be bothered---at least so far.

What I am looking for is an agency that could possibly help out with a search.

DBC...

Sorry to hear of the situation... it sounds like a real bummer, but it seems you have a good handle on it and are going about it the right way... being open and honest...

The little I know is that Russian women have a hard time in discussing their health issues... the lady I knew had rosatia and got mad at my sister for saying something about it... yes two of my sisters have it and if not treated can cause major problems later in life... she was just concerned..

I also saw her feet and she had some bunions... she got mad at me for asking abou them...

I have heard others on this site say similar things... so I don't think that the women would tell the agency that they have problems. And someone else that got the same thing had said the woman didn't even know she had it...

Good luck on your search...

***That is important for two reasons: You don't want to be a jerk and also because getting intimate with someone when you have an std and not telling them can be considered assault---and it SHOULD be.

***My ex was the same way but it might not necessarily be a societal trait as much as a peculiarity in the way they were raised. I've known Americans who were the same way.

***It is quite possible to be infected unknowingly. That happens...although my ex later admitted she had had an std but then recanted.

Good luck on your search...
***It isn't like I feel I have a lot of reasons to be optimistic...I don't. I simply have to try something.
