I am not sure about Uzbekistan, but I have sent many things to Ukrainena dRussia and always asked for them to be signed for at the other end, then I have not had a problem.

Timescale to Ukraine from the UK has always been 5 or 6 days, to Russia 7 - 21 days depending on where it was sent too.

In my experience, if the lady in Ukraine has not got it by now I doubt she will. The postal services over there have a tendency to help themselves if you now what I mean, that is why I learnt to have all packages signed for at the destination, I was actually told by the Ukrainian postal service to do that, as they have to account for the packages, whereas if they are not sent signed for they can go missing!

I have sent many items to Ukraine and Russia (more than 50) by US mail and have never had any problems. The key is you must send it certified mail and with a return rept so that she has to sign for receiving it. The southern part of Ukraine ( town of Primorsk) takes 21 day, Russia takes about 4 weeks. The other thing when you send it certified it has to be 4lbs or less and you can not use clear tape you must use paper tape that the PO puts there seal on. cost you about an extra $10.00 for the package

I would check with the local Ukrainians because they have more options then standard postal service. The local ukrainians in my area ship thru the baptist church. We ship out of Harrisburg for approx 60 cent/pound. It is a signed delivery. The dozen plus times that we've used them with no problems or pilferring. It takes 6-8 weeks for delivery.
