Just $30/day will keep you alive at Uncle Pasha's dacha

It occured to me that there are folks out there who are sitting in Moscow just waiting for something to happen. Cash burn in Moscow is huge. I personally can't manage it to be less than 1500 roubles ($60) WITHOUT paying rent. If you just need to sit it out quietly and inexpensively, consider my dacha near Staritsa, between Moscow & St. Petersburg. $30 will give you enclosed space, an easy-to-use woodstove and a supply of fuel, a well-stocked kitchen, facilities that include hot shower and sauna... Once you get there (which costs 300 roubles = just over $10 from Moscow) you will not need to spend a cent more than $30/night. Of creature comforts you'll have to sacrifice warm WC but the outhouse is as ergonomic as they get. Of my own design. Especially sensitive souls may use a Porta-Potty but it will be up to you to maintain it. I personally prefer a few minutes of cold to dealing with this high-tech piece of crap-receptacle. write to paul_voytinsky@yahoo.com
