Hello folks,

I am traveling to Zhitomir, Ukraine, in March 2007 and would like to rent an apartment for 17 days. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, leads, or contacts, your help would be greatly appreciated!!

I recommend seeing more than one place. Spend a week in Kiev and then go check out Crimea. The rates will be cheap then and the weather will be better than in Kiev. I've been to Ukraine the last 3 years in March. Never again for me,but you'll be fine. March will be here before you know it. If you need to lose a few pounds then nows the time. Get yourself a nice tan and get ready to meet a nice girl.

Thanks Greg. Good suggestions. I am going to Zhitomir (or Jitomir) for a while first because the gal I have been writing for 17 months (wow!) lives there and we can finally meet. I am hoping she will want to go with me to Kyiv and elsewhere. You must have read my mind because I am trying to drop some pounds and get some color back!

It's all about confidence my friend. I walked up to the prettiest girl I saw in Ukraine at the Kiev trainstation in July 2002. She helped me buy my ticket,I bought her a Coke and I handed her my email address. I told my friend if she ever wroye me back I would marry her. I just knew it man. One week later she wrote me back. We missed seeing eachother under the Lenin monument by only a few hours. I made 5 trips back to see her,we were married in Ukraine and she's been here since Dec 7 2003. We recentlt had a beautiful baby girl. It was my first marriage and I was her first boyfriend period. she's from a village just outside Kharkov. I married way way out of my league. I'm a very young 37 and she's 24. Life is great. She's my best friend and she makes me laugh everyday. Good luck with everything. We have a friend that lives in oregon. She is from kharkov as well. Her mother runs an agency there. So what city are you from? How long will you be in Ukraine?
