Here are a few things I have noticed that will weed out a surprising number of Russian women scammers:

1) They do not answer your questions.
2) They are overly romantic. This is an easy one for me, especially. I am not very romantic-- more practical. I couldn't stand to live with someone as romantic as most of them come off as.
3) They contact you with a form letter type of communication. This is so obvious I probably don't need to mention it.

Not only do they contact you with them, you will find further letters are form letters as well. This is why they dont answer your question. They send their letter, you reply, they send the next form letter etc etc ad nauseum. One sure way of flushing out a scammer very early is asking for a phone number in the reply letter. If they dont give one, ask again. If still they dont do not write any more.
