Sometimes you will get a slow reply from some of the girls in this agency. The reason is that not all live in the city of Sumy......but rather, a small town in Sumy oblast, not close to the city. One girl I have been writing lives in Gluhov, which is about 60 miles away from Sumy.....I had been wondering why the reply from the gift basket took so long!

I just started using this agency (within the last 2 weeks) to write a girl.
I had started a thread called "dilemma need some help" on this thread had written some of my initial feelings about this agency. I will in a few months once I have had some more experience with this agency post my thoughts in the 'Review' section. Right now I feel they are legit, but still a little leary becuase the girl I just started writing is also on AnastasiaWeb, but as we all know not every small local agency that deals with AnastasiaWeb is bad.

Raspberry, would like to know what you think of this agency so far?

So far, so good. I had written to another Sumy girl about a year ago. She did not answer back for a while. The agency called her mother and she said the girl was out of town. Finally, the girl had removed herself from the site, and I got recredited by the agency.

The letter forwarding rates are really reasonable, especially since you don't have to pay for the return letter. This one I am corresponding with now is a bit younger than what I normally go for, but on the other hand, we have similar interests, and she understands English well. In fact on the third letter, I got her phone number without asking for it!

We'll see what happens here. I may meet her in Sumy, but she said she wanted to meet in Kiev. Which actually sounds better, if she wants to do that. Sumy is a bit out of the way from the other places I need to visit.

Raspberry, that is my same general feelings, I have only used them for a couple of weeks, asked the agency a couple of questions, got quick responses. Like you said their rates are very reasonable for letter writing and they give you the option per letter or monthly unlimited, plus their rates for 3-way calling are cheaper than other Agency sites.
There is a woman I am very interested in (and of course writing) that lives in Mariupol, but my two previous trips I travelled to meet only 1 woman and so this time I would like to meet a couple of woman and Sumy is not that far away from Mariupol, so I hope things do turn out good with this woman and this agency.

Kind of ironic that you mention Sumy and Mariupol in the same sentence. I have narrowed my basic choices down to three----one that I met in Zaporozhye, and two others(one in Mariupol and the other in Sumy).

Yes, Mariupol and Sumy are about same area as far as East-West goes. But they are at totally opposite ends, when it comes to North-South. I am trying to figure out my game plan. The girl in Mariupol would like to go to Kiev or Crimea to meet, and does not want to meet in her home city. And the Sumy girl says Kiev or Sumy is fine. But I also need to stop at least one day in Mariupol to do other things. So, I am scratching my head.......

Yeah, I know the north-south thing it's not like they are next door, but my other option is Tver (woman-interest) or Perm (friend) which would be much worse. The Mariupol woman I am deffinitly seeing unless something drastic happens. I was looking at train schedules and have seen that there is a train that you can ride that has stops in both these cities Mariupol and Sumy.
Have you looked at flights to Sumy or Mariupol? I have not found anything flying into Mariupol, have not checked Sumy because it is too soon to know if this will be a destination or not.

For all practical purposes, it's best to fly into Donetsk, to get to Mariupol.
These are on Lufthansa from Munich, and Austrian from Vienna. It's slightly less than two hours by bus to Mariupol, from Donetsk.

There are flights from Kiev, but they fly out of the cross-town airport of Zhulhany....so you have to clear customs, and then cut across town to the other airport.

Additionally, Ilyich Air flies two days a week out of Athens, Greece to Mariupol. Plus Ilyich also flies out of another Greek airport, Thessaloniki(Salonika/SKG), as well. Essentially, these are corporate planes owned by Mariupol-based Ilyich steel company, which evolved into an airline. Similar situation as Kimberly-Clark(makers of Kleenex) having their corporate planes involved into an actual airline(Midwest Express).

As for Sumy, they do have an airport, but a similar type of situation, with the cross-town thing. And the only direct flight from Europe is Austrian out of Vienna.....but does not operate every day, unlike the Donetsk service.

Raspberry, I know you work at something for the airlines, what is it you actually do to know all this info?

25 Days to Moscow

blucatz, I am a gate agent(and sometimes ticketing, too) so I am a bit familiar with the scenerio.

And yet, I forgot to mention that Austrian goes to Kharkov(the next closest airport) and not Sumy itself.

Raspberry, spoke with my Mariupol woman on Saturday, she said that there are daily flights from Kiev to Mariupol, but in doing preliminary searches, just using http://www.cheaptickets.com (not buying yet so have not used any other sites in my searches) just for personal knowledge for when the time comes, this site does not come back with any flights (I know domestic flight might be the reason why) do you know of any web-sites that might allow me to search these domestic flights and what their costs would be?

I wrote my Sumy girl over a week ago.....yes, I must consider that she is in Glukhov, so it takes longer......but now her profile is on both AFA and Anastasia, so my guess is that I have more competition now.

Bottom line is, check the ladies out locally in Sumy at this agency first, before the big agencies get the profiles. And write or call often.
