Fiance' in Ekaterinberg has been receiving Ozone injections, I researched on internet, and western medicine is not real up on this stuff, most likely due to fact that Ozone is not a propiatory drug,....can't make lots a cash on it.

any body here heard of such treatments.

I told her I was worried that it could cause harm, but she told me it was beneficial.

just curious.

Ozone therapy has not been proven safe by scientific studies. Shortness of breath, blood vessel swelling, poor circulation, heart problems or stroke may occur. Autohemotherapy, a type of ozone therapy, has been associated with transmission of viral hepatitis and with a case of dangerously lowered blood cell counts. Make sure that sterile needles are used for any medical procedure.

I don't know how common it is So Cal... but Ozone is a form of oxygen that is highly reactive. It is used for sterilising water. Use of ozone injections for pain has been described as a form of prolotherapy, in which an irritant is injected into the site of the pain, with the aim of causing the body to heal the cause of the pain.

What is she using it for?

now I'm worked up again over this ozone.

She is going to medical facility for injections, so I hope like hell they use clean needles.

So told me she has more energy, and other positive benefits.
Reason for Ozone....i don't know.

i expressed my grave concern over this procedure, i hope this does not turn tragic.

The main reason we have the Clean Air Act in the USA is because ozone is a potent poison. In order to be in attainment with Clean Air Act standards, a city must not have ozone concentrations greater then 80 parts per billion (that isn't much) for more than 8 hours at a time on more than three days of a year. It is a pretty strict standard.

Ozone is a very aggressive oxidant, associated with respiratory problems, cardiovascular problems, and a lot of other medical problems.
