I was wondering if you can by AA batteries in Russia?

Posted by: searcher

Yes, you can buy Duracell and Energizer and some other generic brands. They use all of the common batteries there A, AA, AAA, 9V, C, and D.

And you can even see commercials using the [stolen] "Duracell Bunny" because Duracell stole it and began using it there before Energizer.

COOL!!!! Thanks Searcher. I'm taking over a CD Player and a English language course for my Girl. Her and her son always fight over the computer. Now she can study and doesn't have to bother him. And who knows, maybe he will want to use the CD player which makes more time for her and I on the PC!!!

Congrates on your Visa Award. You must be very excited!!!

Duracell AA's are about 25 rouble for a pack of 2.
Searcher - wasn't it the Ever Ready bunny first and then got stolen by Duracell?

they are very expensive there, bring your own. Get energizer Lithiums for super nice run time.

I agree, buy her 2-3 sets of good rechargables and either take a charger for her or buy one locally when you get there.

However discs are bulky and fragile, why dont you get her an mp3 player and rip the language course to it ?? I use one that takes SD cards, I had my russian language course on one for me, music etc on other cards for her and her son.
