Ok people, heres the scoop, I do not know everything (I know that is disappointing but it is true). So I am asking if anyone has any knowledge about Tatars, and more specifically Crimean Tatars. Why? you may ask. Well I have an assignment on revitalisation of cultures, plus an interest in these peoples anyway, and I am looking for resources (respectable ones that is or at least links to respectable ones). If any of you Slavophiles and Tatarphiles have any info on this topic please feel free to share, all help and assitance is GREATLY appreciated.

You are welcome OzG....if you need anymore just let me know. I think I have a few more up my sleeve

I will take whatever you can send my way mate. I have about a month to research and write it up but even if the links give me something to look for in other places it will be worthwhile. That machine trans link is good in that it shows the Crimean Tatars are deadly serious about there language and this shows pride in their ethinicity. Excellent stuff.

Here are a few more for you then:

The Diaspora Experience and the Forging of a Nation

Crimean Tatar Chronology

The Deportation and Fate of the Crimea Tatars

Formation of German Villages in the Crimea

The Tatar Khanate of Crimea

Tatar Victims of Stalin

Map of Crimea with Tatar Place Names

enjoy!!
