Do any of these web site really work or even the tours? Just got ovr a bad divorce and I was hoping that this would be a viable option but it seems like this is more difficult than the alternative.. Anyone have sucess and should I get my hopes up or resign myself to more of the same...

First off, you need to decide if you're healed from the divorce and ready for the hardships of a very long range relationship. It took me alot of time to get over my divorce. You need to be prepared for one or more trips to visit her. ($pendy) The language barrier needs to be considered too. It'll take alot of patience by both of you to have it succede.
I've never done a tour but I have doubts about them based on what I've read. Everyone seemed to be run thru looking at a slab of meat IMO. The women on the websites can be real but be careful about scammers. The women of the FSU are among the best on the planet. I married one!

there is no 110% surefire. "easy" quick-fix for one's problems.
Whatever the issues with your past, local women or the like, you must deal with them successfully BEFORE you plan on a MOB tentive.
Women are women; from another country, not another planet.

Great advice AkMike, definitly the first step. Yes it is pricey but if you are lucky enough, you only have to make 1 trip. This will save money for the visa and move for your bride. Yes this process works. I've been a member for about 4 months and there has been at least 1 marriage every month. After meeting with a russian/FSU woman, I would advise not to date any other nationality.

Welcome and good luck to you,
GTR

AK is right, you do have to have healed from your wounds, or at least given them a good lick. My experience has been very sucsessful, as well as others I know personally, so yes it can happen I am in the process of applying for a fiance visa right now and I could not be more pleased.

For me, I would never go on a tour, it's a little too degrading for both parties to start a serious relationship with. If you open your eyes and your heart and look for a honest woman who will be a good match for you you can have luck. If you look like Uncle Fester and think you can find a super model 20 years younger than you, you will be dissapointed. Be realistic and be honest and you may find what you are looking for.

As for the money thing, yes, it is expensive. But if I was cruising the bars every weekend trying to find someone, I think I would have spent quite a bit also. I save my money and my "energy" for my trips to Belarus, and the rest of the time live as close to a monks life as you can in the US.

I would also point out that women with children get about 10X's less action than women who are "unencumbered". The down side is that if you can't handle being a proper father, she will leave you. Be honest about yourself and your expectations and give it a go !!!

Everyone here has posted excellent advice. There are some advantages going on a tour. Unless you are a seasoned traveler and know what you are doing the tour isn't that much more money. If I had been a little more heads up I would have negotiated out the cost of the socials(that would have placed the cost of travel and hotel under my unexperienced booking abilities). There is also a pretty good comradery among most of the guys. I would not do a tour to meet a woman. Most of the women I saw when I went fall into the professional dating class. The upside is if you go to meet a woman and it doesn't work out you have social interaction and a nice looking tour guide if you want it! Take your time, give old wounds time to heal, and then begin your journey if this seems right for you.

I don't think you should be dating ANYONE right now. It would be nothing but a rebound relationship at this point. Take some time off to heal and get rid of some of the garbage that may have accumulated in your life.
