If you had asked or told me 3 years ago I would be married to a Russian woman I would have said no way! I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made in my life! I am writing this as encouragement to others that yes! It can work.

We have seen quite a few relationships go sour for various reasons. The one common denominator was unreal expectations on both sides because they truely did not know each other before they married.

The most important thing in beginning a relationship is to be completely open, honest, and paint an accurate picture about everything. You need to explore each other's wants,desires,expectations,goals,....everything about each other.

We have had our bumpy moments. As with any relationship it requires a lot of patience. This is the key...as they say patience is a virtue. More than 90% of our rocky times were caused by simple misunderstandings more due to language and to a lesser degree cultural differences.

My wife and I have posted quite a few sticky topics here. We do this in hopes it will help people to understand as much as they can. We hope our input to this forum has helped!

We are very happy together and confident we will be together to the end! So! Here's to another wonderful year together!
