Moreover, we have our own National Music Channel (MUZ-TV). I gotta say that for the last 2 years it beats the hell outta MTV. The most gorgeous female VJ's and all that, you know.)))

I'd like to watch it some time....

Hi guy's,

I remember during my first trip to Lugansk, their version of MTV was fabulous, with a cross-section of music from Ukraine, Russia, America, and England. I was glued!! I agree Andrei, it really does smash MTV into oblivion! (Would this be the same MUZ-TV?? I'm ashamed I don't remember the exact name!) I only wish there was a way of viewing it in England

Also, on a slightly different note, a Ukrainian radio station called HEAT FM is absolutely fantastic. Radio 1 in England is renowned world-wide as being a first-class station, but I have to admit, if I could somehow pick HEAT FM up over here, I'd be making Radio 1 redundant from my listening pleasure!

Hi Si,

Maybe if your lucky Heat FM is online.. Anyone know if there are any FSU stations online???

It would be cool to be able to listen to some FSU stations online!!

Hog up some of that T1 bandwidth at work!!!!!!! It would be a cool switch from my usual Yahoo Launchcast station!!!

Hi Kevin,

Unfortunately, I can't find Heat FM anywhere online

I had a quick search on google for Russian radio stations and found the following link:

http://russianinternet.com/radio/

I am now listening to Radio 101 based in Moscow!!! This is the first song I'm listening to, so I can't really rate the station, but the quality is certainly there. I am now on the hunt for Ukrainian stations, hopefully I'll find Heat FM lurking somewhere.

Poor Westerners)))))))) What would y'all do without me))))))))

YOU CANT FIND HEAT FM BECAUSE A STATION LIKE THAT DOESNT EXIST.

You see, the same way as Americans cant catch the difference between hard and soft consonants in Russian, we Russians cant catch the difference between English long and short vowels. So, the words 'heat' and 'hit', 'sheep' and 'ship' sound the same to us. So we just pronounce 'heat' meaning 'hit'.

BOTTOM LINE, try searching for HIT FM instead.

Andrei!!

What would I do without you?? I have found HIT FM which is based in Kharkov, Ukraine. Trouble is, I am still learning the basics of Russian language, and I can't understand half of the website, so I'll be playing around with it trying to listen to the music. It's my girlfriend's favourite radio station, and I am sure it will be mine when I figure out how to listen to it!]

Thanks again Andrei

Hi Si!

Download the IM Translator plugin for Internet Explorer from that translation paralink for Promt!! It will help alot!!! You can translate on the fly while your on the page that is in Russian.
Just highlight what you want translated and right click and choose IM Translator!! Works like a charm!!

Of course as always, spassiba to our Russian friend Andrei for stearing us in the right direction when we need it!

Now if I can find a station out of Mogilev!
