Lets face it 99% of western men who marry a russian or eastern woman are over 40 divorced and socialy inept have very few real friends and spend their evenings on a computer then get a foreign woman because she will not find him out and when she does its to late, bring her over to england to boost his ego how long will it take her to realize england lost its soul many years ago.
just look at the losers on tv the other week a northerner who lost his whippets and thought he was still living in a cave and a yank who wanted to buy a slave. and when they do get a woman they still can not socialise they are back on the computer writing on silly forums like this and she is barefoot in the kitchen!

99% is far too high, I for example am under 40, never been married before, very rarely use the computer at home as I have other things to do, plenty of friends to go drinking with and my wife loves England except for paying tax/ni so brits/foreigners can sit on their arses and claim benefits.
Although after watching that programme on Channel 4, I would think most people would have a negative image of the guys looking for a wife in the FSU.

Well Malc thats like saying all Russian men are useless wife beating alcoholics. If you look into this forum a little better you will find many people from different backgrounds in different situations. Are there men like you describe...yes ....is it 99 % no. Most of these guys that are as you describe dont even get to the point of visiting Russia. And if we all sit writing on silly forums why are you here? :walking:

"Why marry a Russian" was your title but your post had nothing to do with that.

It looks as though you are here just to antagonise people, with the attitude displayed both in this thread and your other; if that is the case, you may well upset some people - but they will still be around, and be enjoying the site, long after you've got bored.
Statistically we can only think you are over 40, divorced and socially inept; empirically we can see that, from your postings so far, you are at least the latter.

is usually considered synonymous with "loser"; although some academic types might consider people who title a thread with a question missing the punctuation, then articulate their point with insults riddled with run-on sentences, and a myriad of grammatical errors, as the real losers. :no no:
Further, if you choose to cite statistics to back your outragous claims, it's only good form to reveal your source. In my personal experience, a full 30% of people I have met in person, found their foriegn wives through means other than international marriage agencies on the internet. These folks met their wives through much more normal and mundane means, such as work or friends.
Would I be correct in assuming that your username Malc is short for "malcontent"?

Well, the divorced bit raises further questions bacause if we assume that western men are well cultured and do not marry unless they are divorced, there are not many other categories that will want to marry, anyway. Widowed, new starters? I think your statistics may be correct. Typically western societies follow liberal practices and let market forces control the course of events. Meaning, you will not see or hear any russian or eastern women who will or have been dragged to the west screaming and kicking.
ok i posed the question and wrote an answer. I opened up this thread to try and provoke some thought. Some years ago i worked with a man who had a thai wife he was absolutly ridiculed behind his back and this is what the channel 4 program did. there would be many answers if you thought about it. you make a positive decision and maybe form a stronger relationship and because it is different you can be open to ridicule. swindoom saw the point one of the 1%? well i will return to russia try and make customs smile and leave you to wonder

Im 47 and my Russian wife is 23.I have a computer and yes it is nice to have a beautiful woman with me.
Liuda is as happy as i am and we have just had our first child and will plan for a second next year.You seem to have issues around this subject, perhaps you were rejected by a woman why chose a western man.
You seem happy to say you married for money, which indicates what a shallow person you are.Dont judge others on yourself and lighten up.

I brought my Russian daughter from the previous marriage to the UK and I do not want to have kids any more,

As for sitting infront of a computer, all I can say in that it has brought people I call my friends into my life. Because of using a computer I have met my wonderful Wife and we have a lovely boy. Our two families get along great and keep in contact all the time. I have met Lep and his wonderful Wife and recently had the pleasure of meeting Kashyar, all of this due to compters.
As for you stats, there are lies, Damned Lies and Statistics. I don't fall into one of "YOUR" catagories, never married, well under 40........etc. :tnguehnd:
It was never my intention to marry a RW, but I am glad I did.

Hi Malc,
I want to answer your question. I want to marry a RW because I have made a personal choice to do so. Yes I am divorced, and yes I just turned 40. My ego is still in pretty good shape and I live a pretty active life. I want to find a woman who has more substance than what I can find here. That is about it.
Now, for being a loser because I am here or associated with this forum in any way...well then I will proudly stand in line and hold my "loser sign". My real friends support that...my imaginary ones are still a little unsure but I'll keep you posted. Also...I am from Canada and although I hear England is really nice I do not plan on going there after I marry. Where would I stay? Oh wait, I can find a home for sale online since I spend all my time on a computer!!

Hey Andy, good reply. Unfortunately "Malc" has not shown up here for over a year so don't expect a reply anytime soon. There are a few that do this "drive-by" posting, just show up, aim a few nasty & ignorant statements and then disappear. When someone states that 99% of people are XXXX, you can tell that they are usually about to make a broad inaccurate statement!
